He is a middle-class gentleman. He is not a government servant; he is working in a propriety firm. He ran a chit fund to supplement his income & earned few lakhs purely by his trustworthiness. Subsequently, he invested a portion of that earnings in lands and it multiplied. And at last, his dream of own house has about come true.
Just as he started construction, MODI announced demonetization. The construction industry which is almost in ONLY CASH MODE and the DEMONETISATION locked horns. It gave him lots of hardship. He started cursing MODI every day.
Today his bank has sent a message to his cell phone informing that he is eligible for a subsidy of 2.5 lakhs for his HOME LOAN. He is yet to contact his bank manager. But do you how he reacted? I WILL PAY BRIBE OF 20 OR 30 THOUSAND AND SOMEHOW AVAIL THIS SUBSIDY.
That is the great Indian Middle class, we are ready to bribe and (further) kneel & bow before powers that be, even before it is demanded.
We are not seeking a remedy to itching skin disease; instead, we are yearning for scratching pleasure only
